Brown noise (="braunes Rauschen") is a soothing noise, which is used to calm babies or to fight tinnitus or sleep disorders.

Brown noise is also the rise of hateful, racist and authoritarian rhetoric and the growing acceptance of populist discourses which rightfully seemed totally unacceptable only a couple of years ago.

"Druturum III: Das Braune Rauschen" is a meditation about keeping your inner peace and balance in times of dramatically increasing bullshit.


And of course it's also just two guys playing some tunes. The drumkit is different than last time, but it follows the same principle that the bass drum is played with hands instead of feet. As a novelty the Glockenspiel is introduced into the sound of DruturuM.

Due to all kinds of stuff we actually had astonishingly scant time to create this set. Probably half of it was kind of winged on short notice.
Admittedly the whole thing should have been a bit longer, but it made a good live show.

The audio tracks from the concert are a bit problematic, so we decided not to release them here.

But we think that the live video and these rehearsal recordings combined already give you a pretty good picture of what this DruturuM chapter was about.
