Man is not made for history.

At the foundation of the concept of history lies the idea of an ongoing connection between the actions and occurrences of the past, present and future.
But how do we grasp that concept, when our perception of those variables is so unclear?

What is the past? Has any event ever even happened, when nobody was there to witness it? Does a moment die, when all who have experienced it are gone? Or does it already start to vanish from existence the first time it is slightly altered in remembrance?

Whether we study history, listen to a story, look at old photographs or just reflect within our own minds; facing the past we ultimately always end up the same, as tightrope walkers on the junction of memory, dream and oblivion.


"Druturum VI: Tightrope Walkers on the Junction of Memory, Dream and Oblivion" is our calmest, most introspective work so far. We already had the idea of doing a stripped-down, almost "unplugged" set before, when we started writing "Druturum V: Wayfarer". But of course that one grew way beyond that and became something totally different.

This time around however we were disciplined, stayed true to the idea and kept it basic: no PA, no singing, no samples, no effects.

Just one brother switching between his guitar plugged directly into a vintage amp and a toy keyboard from the 1980s, and the other one playing drums and melodica.

Take a deep breath and close your eyes as the walk begins...
